Neighbours Helping Neighbours

Neighbours Helping Neighbours is a crew of physically fit adults with developmental disabilities that reaches out to the elderly and others in our greater neighbourhood who may be having difficulty with some basic gardening and other light chores. The crew is comprised of program participants and their supervisor who are available week days to lend a hand where needed. There is no charge for this service although donations to L'Arche Greater Vancouver are gratefully accepted. The program also works in partnership with community neighbourhood houses, agencies serving seniors and religious organizations connecting with seniors and those with disabilities who require support.

Delivering Meals in partnership with Meals on Wheels
Serving coffee at a local Food Bank
Recycling at Collingwood Neighbourhood House
Gardening at New Vista Senior's Homes
Sorting donations at The Salvation Army
