In our homes, people with developmental disabilities and those who come to assist them, live in family-like settings in a faith-based and multigenerational environment.  L’Arche actively creates an intentional Community in which we share our lives and spend our days working, having leisure and holiday times together.

Our structure of providing care consists of live-in and live-out assistants in the homes, on-call support people, and volunteers.  We are blessed with a network of faithful relationships with involvement of family and friends.

All of our homes are located in pleasant, quiet residential neighborhoods.  We are close to the Skytrain and buses, recreational and community centers, churches, a library, medical and professional services, hospitals, parks and shopping centres.

Our homes are each uniquely personalized with traditions, histories and a richness of their own, and each has truly become “home” to the people who live there. 

L’Arche Greater Vancouver welcomes adults with a developmental disability who live in the lower Mainland. The individuals we welcome need to have the desire and the ability to live a communal life with others of varying skills and abilities.
